Some have said that the Obama administration's takeover of health care will have no impact on how they live their lives. I completely disagree with that ridiculous argument. Lets take something simple into perspective: The Soda Tax. The US government is already telling you what you can and cannot eat based on what? Nothing really. That it costs the government $150 billion per year? This is not possible considering the government is not paying for your health care and should have little or no input into what you consume. How about smoking. The recent $1 per pack [regressive] tax is another instance of them telling you that they know better than you do.
What is to come of it all when they do control your health care? They will be able to tell you flat out that if you drink soda or smoke, then you are getting no care at all. I'm not ok with this scenario. I don't like someone telling me what I can or cannot eat or drink. The American people are not made to be told how to live - we freak out like a cornered animal. Maybe this is what Obama is planning for. I don't know, but he is not planning for a sustainable American future. He looks to be planning to end us while taking what he can for all of the colored folk; leaving whitey holding the bag.
Another big transformative item that this guy is giving us: the fact that we will never be able to have a conservative party again. Why? Because health care will consume so much of our national budget and like social security, we can never rid ourselves of it. Government ran health care changes the topic. Its no longer how we can run a conservative agenda better, its how we can run the sinking ship of American big government liberalism better than the big government liberal. It will forevermore be about the right wanting to take something away from you, something you have a "right" to - just like you have a "right" to other people's money. The government, because of the 16th amendment is now the great equalizer and we no longer have a voice. Americans without a voice is a scary thought - like I said, we are like cornered animals and always have been. Ben Franklin said they were like a rattle snake - we hiss and rattle and let everyone know we are annoyed. Its their fault when we bite. Are we ready to bite yet? If not now, when. My rattle is getting tired and my teeth hungry.
