"Hardly a week goes by that there isn't a report of an outbreak of food-borne illness or death in America," Durbin said. "The current system really just reacts to food illness. We have to have a system that is protective of consumers" by preventing outbreaks or nipping them in the bud.
Why does it matter that food-borne illness causes sickness other than the feds preparing to have to pay for the fallout. Its this kind of control that is ridiculous for it is not the federal government's job to protect you from food. If you're fat, should they control your diet? Surely obesity causes many deaths per year.
The free market has a way to deal with this: If you produce bad food, people don't buy it and you go out of business. Problem solved with no government intervention.
This is of course assuming that Obama is not trying to tank the dollar and the food supply. If you cut off food via the FDA and kill the dollar via inflation, you are able to replace the current founding with one of your own. This would be the crisis needed to socialize the entire economy. This is a taking over of our country by theft via tax and social justice with the handouts. What we will have by the time 2012 comes around and the Republicans can start raping the treasury is a dictatorship. Are you willing to have your children be little Obama-ite slaves? I'm not. We must fight back in any way needed to protect your country. We have the right to defend ourselves and attack anyone who goes against the Constitution and our country. Those who have pledged this and are currently working for the government (our military) have the obligation to protect us and throw out the impostor in the white house. Why have they not yet done so? When all else fails, the people need to organize, which we must start doing now.
